Fans of Boston basketball will soon have a new reason to call themselves ‘green teamers’. Legendary Celtics player Paul Pierce is teaming up with Hub Craft, a cultivation company with locations in Fitchburg and Clinton, Massachusetts, to drop a cannabis line named Truth. Peirce had been using cannabis for years but got serious about the plant as a sleep aid and source of anxiety relief following a stabbing he suffered in 2000. We expect to see Truth branded flower, edibles in lotions on Massachusetts dispensary shelves in 2022.

Apparently, quality cannabis isn’t one of Jay-Z’s 99 Problems. His Monogram brand features flower with eye raising potency – with some varieties exceeding 30% THC. Strains have unassuming numerical names like NO 1, NO 3, NO 88 and NO 70 and come in sleek black packages of loose buds or hand rolled joints. The company is helping to shape cannabis’s post-prohibition image with their slogan ‘A New Chapter in Cannabis’ and media like the video ‘The Good Life Redefined’ that portrays cannabis use in high society get-togethers.
