Lowell Farms West Hollywood Cannabis Cafe

"Come celebrate the end of prohibition at America’s original cannabis cafe. Opening August 2019."

Lowell Farms West Hollywood Cannabis Cafe at  1201 N. La Brea Ave, West Hollywood is one of the first of its kind in the United States. Their ribbon cutting is set to occur in August of 2019. Once open, 21+ patrons can consume edible and smoked cannabis in the social company of others. Similar to Amsterdam cannabis cafes, Lowell Farms will not serve liquor as beer or wine as California law prohibits alcohol and cannabis to be served in the same establishment.

The open-air restaurant captures a Mediterranean aesthetic with tile-work that is imported from Spain and Morocco. Natural wood tables and bar counters, beach resort style seating and inventive string lighting create the perfect atmosphere to indulge with friends. You would never guess that the everything from lumber for these elements to the silverware is reclaimed and reused – unless you’re already familiar with Lowell Herb’s commitment to sustainability.

Many Californians and cannabis aficionados have already experienced the quality and variety of strains featured in the brand’s line of pre-rolled joints and packages of loose buds that are found in dispensaries across the state like OG Chem, Jack Skellington, White Mango and more. Lowell Farms West Hollywood Cannabis Cafe plans to incorporate farm to table service for both their edible offerings as well as their famous flower.

In an effort to stay true to their roots and the counter culture of California, Lowell Farms West Hollywood Cannabis Cafe will include a wall of fame with photographs depicting important players in the cannabis space like David Bowie, Lenny Bruce, Woody Harrelson, Tommy Chong and Snoop Dogg.

Well known cannabis chef to the stars, Andrea Drummer is taking her talents to Lowell Farms West Hollywood Cannabis Cafe as the restaurants head chef. While regulatory red-tape won’t allow for handmade infused dishes initially (due to testing and packaging regulations), Drummer plans to feature dishes that accentuate the cannabis experience with vibrant visual and textural appeal as well as decadent smells and flavors. She told the Hollywood Reporter, “We’re trying to be conservative in our interpretation of the laws; we’re waiting for the state and county to update their laws and work out the nuances for licensing, before we infuse food live on premises.”  Infused beverages will be on the menu from day 1.
