Coming Soon: As of October, 9, 2019 The city of Boston’s Department of Emerging Industries of has signed a community host agreement for Mojos of Mattapan’s Boston Dispensary. Their next step is gaining approval from Boston’s Zoning Board.

Mojos of Mattapan’s Boston dispensary is in the process of gaining approval to sell cannabis in at 1292 Blue Hill Ave. next to Ortiz Grocery. The ownership feature’s prominent members of the community including Jody Mendoza who holds an MBA from Boston College, Carlos Castillo who is a real estate developer and owns the building in which the dispensary would be located and Richy Pena who is a locally raised music producer.

The 1,000 foot space would be utilized by Mojos of Mattapan’s Boston dispensary to provide convenient and safe access to cannabis for 21+ customers in the community, high quality products with precise doses and clear labeling as well as a variety of specialty items like creams and oils. Underage sale and diversion will be prevented with PatronScan ID scanning technology that verifies validity of licenses. This will also be used for customer accountability – creating a record of exactly what types and quantities of flower, concentrates or edibles they buy during their visit. Information from PatronScan is shared between dispensaries so that customers do not exceed their daily limit of cannabis as specified by Massachusetts law.

Once open, Mojos of Mattapan’s Boston dispensary plans to operate 11:00am – 8:00pm Sunday through Thursday and 11:00am – 10:00pm on weekends. Customers will be provided with an option to preorder their products online to reduce wait times and traffic build up. Their own security force, police detail and 24-hour surveillance will always keep customers and neighbors safe at all times.

To address the issue of parking Mojos of Mattapan’s Boston dispensary in the process of working out agreements with a lot across the street and an adjacent lot of Evelyn St. They even plan to offer customers who ride their bike or take rideshare services like Uber and Lyft a discount on their purchase.
