Brighton residents and visitors could soon have a place to purchase premium cannabis just off the MBTA Green Line Sutherland Road stop – just blocks from Whole Foods. Natural Ventures of Brighton’s Boston dispensary has submitted for a permit to sell cannabis at 1688-1690 Commonwealth Ave. (currently A-Z Auto Center). They still must navigate a potential appeals process, draft a community host agreement, get approved by the Cannabis Control Commission and register as a business with the city of Boston.

Once open, anyone over the age of 21 with a valid ID will be able to purchase flower, concentrates, edibles and other cannabis products.  Proximity to residential buildings and public transit could make this location Brighton’s neighborhood dispensary.

It is unclear whether Natural Ventures of Brighton’s Boston dispensary is associated with EMB Natural Ventures cultivation facility in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
