Union Twist’s Newton Dispensary
Coming Soon: Mayor Ruthanne Fuller has signed a provisional host community agreement for Union Twist’s Newton dispensary to sell cannabis for adult-use at 1160 Beacon St. They plan to open in 2022.
Union Twist’s Newton Dispensary could become one of Massachusetts’ larger cannabis brands, with production facilities in Athol and two other proposed dispensary locations in Framingham and Allston. The company’s CEO is prominent Bostonian, Amy McNamee. She has previously served as an assistant district attorney in Suffolk County. Security will be headed by former Boston Police Department Superintendent in chief.
The dispensary is set to operate out of the retail space that was formerly Jaylin Cleaners. This 2,290 sq. ft. location will provide plenty of room for displays, waiting areas, point of sale counters at Union Twist’s Newton dispensary. The ample parking lot is to be restriped and improved with additional lighting for additional customer convenience.
