Owner, Jonathan Lau has requested a permit to sell cannabis at his 354 Chestnut Hill Ave. location. Once approved he will still need to navigate a potential appeals process, draft a community host agreement and get signed off by the Cannabis Control Commission.

The Vape Shop of Brighton’s Boston dispensary is a step in the right direction for local cannabis businesses. Mr. Lau grew up in Boston’s Brookline neighborhood. When he first opened his The Vape Shop’s Chestnut Ave. location, he threw a grand opening party that promoted community participation for people of all ages with family fun in the morning and a 21+ event later in the evening. This kind of community involvement is seldom seen with at other Massachusetts dispensaries.

Customer health has always been the focus of The Vape Shop of Brighton’s Boston dispensary. Mr. Lau states on his website, “ I started smoking cigarettes in high school back in 1998 until 2014. […] I’ve tried Chantix, Nicotine gum and patches, I even tried acupuncture as I was desperate to quit smoking. But nothing was as effective as vaping. It is hard to predict exactly what kinds of raw, infused and edible cannabis products will be available at The Vape Shop of Brighton’s Boston dispensary once they have permission to sell adult-use cannabis. However, if the accessories they currently sell are any indication, we expect to see 510 threaded vape carts, dabable concentrates like wax and shatter and traditional flower.
